Well it's only taken me twelve years to get round to it, but I'm finally going to build my self a hot rod. After a dozen years after picking up my first copy of Street Machine, with an orange MK3 Cortina on the front cover, I've finally stopped making excuses (needs to be reliable, nowhere to build it, needs to be capable of doing 18K a year etc..) and I'm going to build a Dooster. The idea behind this web site is to document my progress (or lack of) through the build up of my Dooster roadster.

The Dooster is a car based on the 1932 Model B Roadster, designed by Gary Janes as an entry level machine into the rodding scene. I first spotted information about the Dooster in September 2000's Custom Car magazine, and I got to thinking that looks cool, then the web site address was published in November's issue, I gave Gary a call and went down for a test drive, and I was sold on it. Got Christmas out of the way and sent Gary a deposit for the kit. While Gary was working on it he supplied and fitted the engine, gearbox, steering rack, pedal box, brake pipes, fuel tank, radiator and got the propshaft shortened for me before fitting that, so that all the major mechanical work was done leaving me with the body work electrics and interior.

For more specific details of the package check Gary's web site, there is a link on my linx page.

I collected the package from Gary on 19th February 2001.

Anyway the index at the top will guide you around the site.
